  Uzalo actor Cebolenkosi Mthembu has applied for an interim protection order against girlfriend and up-and-coming actress, Nanamhla Dalasile. The actor, who is known for his role as the cop who uses big English words, applied for the protection order against Nanamhla on Monday, 14 June claiming she stalked and threatened him My life is in danger, The Imbokodo FM presenter said. “The matter is now in the hands of the police.   GOSIAME Sithole will apply for an urgent court interdict to force the Gauteng Department of Social Development to release her from its custody against her will, her lawyer said. Refiloe Mokoena said she received the instructions after the department forcefully took the decuplets mother to Tembisa Hospital in Ekurhuleni for psychological assessment yesterday. Nearly a fortnight after Sithole gave birth to 10 babies at the Steve Biko Academic Hospital in Pretoria on Monday last week, the whereabouts of her children and their state of health remain a mystery. Mokoena said instead the police arrested and handed her to the Department of Social Development, which took her to hospital against her will. They also denied her legal access and permission to be evaluated by private psychologists alongside the ones appointed by the department, she added. “She declined that she should be taken to the Tembisa Hospital for a psychiatric evaluation because she felt strongly that she is of sound mind.

Family of 5 shot dead and set alight inside their house 'execution-style'

  POLICE in Mpumalanga have launched a manhunt for suspects believe to have murdered five people including a 12-year- old girl execution-style. The incidents took place in Nelspruit and Bushbuck Ridge in the early hours of Youth Day. The victims were shot and their houses torched. Police provincial spokesperson Leonard Hlathi said the killings could be gang-related. Hlathi said: “Reports indicate that in the first incident, police received information about a shooting incident at Madras, near Hazyview, outside Nelspruit where four family members were shot execution-style by four suspects inside their RDP house. “When police arrived they found the house in flames with four victims inside lying unconscious, with burn wounds, in two separate rooms. “The emergency services were summoned for assistance and all the victims were, unfortunately, certified dead.” The victims have been identified by the family as Martha Ndlovu (mother), 53; Eckson Five Ndlovu (father), 59; Lovenecia Ndlovu (girl

  THE Department of Correctional Services is investigating how a smartphone made its way into the prison cell of a man who killed Tshegofatso Pule. This comes after Independent Media broke the story of Pule’s convicted murderer Muzikayise Malephane updating his Facebook status from prison. The posts from prison were met with an outcry by gender activist group Sisters Keeper. In a statement yesterday, Correctional Services spokesperson Singabakho Nxumalo said Malephane would be charged for contravening prison rules. Malephane received a 20-year jail term after he admitted to being offered R70 000 to kill the 28-year-old, heavily pregnant Pule last year. “This is a disturbing development as mobile phones are a contraband. It's alleged that this happened after the child's father refused to let them into the house when they visited him on Friday. Police have since established that the woman is originally from Zimbabwe. A 24-year-old woman is expected to appear in a Mpumalanga court after she allegedly threw her 3-month-old baby on the floor during a dispute with the father of the child.
